Questions & Answers

Questions and Answers
Q.I am not flexible at all!! Can I still learn Taekwondo?
A.Yes you can. Flexibility is very practical for high kicks but it is not an absolute must. Speed has a big influence as well. You will see that using proper technique and speed, you will reach pretty high, even if you are not very flexible, and besides the more you practise Taekwondo the more flexible you get.

Q.I have already reached the age of xxx. Am I not too old to start Taekwondo?
A.You are never too old to start Taekwondo, as long as you are physically able to train(it is reccomended to get a full physical check up by your doctor before starting any fitness program). Of course the older you get, the more difficult it can be to win a competition, but Taekwondo is much broader than just sparring, something which people often tend to forget. The most important aspect of training is that you feel good about the training and that you make progress and that you stick to it and be consistent.

Q.I am not very fit....will that be a problem?
A.No, start training right away! Taekwondo will help you to become fit in a relative short amount of time.

Q.How long does it take to become a black belt?
A.That depends on a number of factors such as how athletic the student is, how many classes per week the student attends etc. A black belt can be achieved in between 3-5 years.

Q.I want to enroll my child but I'm worried that he may become a bully
A.Taekwondo teaches confidence, respect and discipline, usually children bully because of a lack of confidence and discipline, students are taught these attributes from the very first class so Taekwondo will not promote your childs' bullying it will do just the opposite.
